FAQ

Why is the price at my volume higher than the advertised "from" price?

A provider's "from" price is the cheapest tier on its price list, and that tier usually requires hundreds or thousands of gigabytes a month. At a smaller volume, a more expensive tier applies. On top of that, a minimum deposit or plan can force you to buy more traffic than you need, and if unused traffic expires, you pay for gigabytes you never use. Our effective price accounts for the tier at your volume and, once we've verified them, for deposits and expiry.

How often is the data updated, and where does it come from?

Once a day, we read each provider's public residential proxy pricing page as an anonymous visitor from the US: the regular monthly price (subscription where published, otherwise pay-as-you-go), no coupons, no first-purchase discounts. Each provider's page links to the exact pricing page we read, and every price shows the date it was last confirmed.

Why 50 GB a month?

50 GB a month is a common recurring workload: big enough that the smallest starter plans no longer apply, small enough that enterprise-only tiers don't either. It lets every provider be compared at the same volume. If your volume is different, switch the table to 5, 500 or 1,000 GB a month.

What does the asterisk (*) next to a price mean?

It means we haven't verified all of that provider's terms yet — its minimum deposit, its traffic expiry window, or both. Until we do, we assume whatever is missing is in your favor (no deposit, traffic never expires), so the price shown is a best case. See the methodology for details.

Why does the effective price change even when the advertised price doesn't?

The effective price also depends on minimum deposits and traffic expiry, which we verify separately from the price list. When we confirm or update one of them, the effective price can change even though the provider's per-GB rate stayed the same.

Can providers pay to be listed or to rank higher?

The order can't be bought — the table is sorted by price only. Providers can pay to be added or featured; paid listings are labeled and ranked by the same rules. Write to partners@proxyticker.com.
