FAQ
What counts as a mobile proxy here?
Rotating proxies that route your traffic through mobile carrier IP addresses (3G, 4G or 5G), priced per gigabyte. Residential proxies, which use home broadband connections, are tracked separately on the main table.
Why are mobile proxies more expensive than residential ones?
Mobile IPs are scarcer and harder to source: traffic has to go through real SIM cards and carrier networks, and a single carrier address is shared by many real users, which makes such IPs less likely to be blocked. Providers charge a premium for that. Where enough providers sell both, the mobile premium at the top of this page shows how large it is today.
Why aren't dedicated mobile proxies priced per port or per day listed?
A per-port or per-day price cannot be turned into a price per gigabyte without guessing how much traffic you will use, so those plans would not be comparable with the rest of the table. We list only rotating mobile proxies sold per GB. The exact scope is described in the methodology.
How is the mobile premium calculated?
For every provider that sells both residential and mobile proxies, with fully verified terms in both, we divide its mobile effective price at 50 GB a month by its residential effective price at the same volume, then take the median of those ratios. Providers that sell only one category are left out, and the figure is shown only when at least three providers qualify.
How often are mobile prices updated, and where do they come from?
Once a day, from each provider's public mobile proxy pricing page, read as an anonymous visitor from the US: the regular monthly price, no coupons and no first-purchase discounts. Every price shows the date it was last confirmed, and the list prices are available as open data in current-mobile.json.
